The planet of Gaia, referred to simply as "the Planet" by its inhabitants, has three main continents. The planet is a living organism, and its lifeblood is the Lifestream, the liquid form being Mako, that wells in the substrata.

The lifts/elevators that the team take to get to the reactor core look far cleaner than the versions from the original game, why were these given a complete overhaul?

It's easy to see how this might make some of the biggest moments in the original game more impactful, and I can't wait to see how our choices will influence character relationships as the adventure progresses. 

Rather than using the character models and graphical style of Advent Children, which by that point had been developed using ten-year-old technology, the team decided to create new designs and models for characters: Nomura wished to balance the realism of Advent Children with cartoon stylization. Nomura was in charge of the revamped main character designs, while designer Roberto Ferrari was in charge of designs for secondary characters.

When they find Don Corneo's hideout, one of Don Corneo's pets steals the key from Leslie. Cloud, Barret, and Tifa give chase, and reclaim it, only to find it was not a key, but a necklace that once belonged to Leslie's fiancée, Merle. Leslie reveals that she was chosen to become one of Don Corneo's brides, and disappeared without a trace right after.

Making use of the different powers each pair has gives the combat more variety than that of Remake, and with the promise of unlocking more as the story progresses – not to mention having new party members join the fray later on – I can't wait to see what other moves await us. 

Summoning Materia: Used as a special materia that have a dedicated slot in the character's weapon. Only one can be equipped at any one character. Summoning materia require specific conditions to be used. Once the conditions have been met, and the character has enough ATB, the summon can be activated, where a creature will appear and fight alongside the player until the timer expires, and the summon exits by performing its signature attack. The majority of summoning materia are obtained by completing VR missions with Chadley.

Cloud, Barret, Tifa, Aerith, and Red XIII escape the Shinra Building via the expressway with vehicles stolen from the Shinra exhibition rooms, taking out numerous Shinra troops and robots sent out to pursue them. At the end of the expressway, they run into Sephiroth, who was waiting for them and everyone being able to see him now. Sephiroth cuts a passageway into thin air and disappears, telling Cloud to follow.

However, that is a very different thing to asking if he could wield it as a weapon. If we assume that the Buster Sword is made from iron then it would be a gigantic sword that weighs around 40kg and there would be many factors required to actually wield it effectively, other than just brawn.
